SEAMEC Endorses Dodson
For 43rd District House Seat

SEAMEC announced its endorsement of Lynne Dodson for
State Representative for the September 19th Primary in the 43rd Legislative
District. SEAMEC, Seattle Metropolitan Election Committee has been rating
and endorsing candidates on issues of importance to the LGBT community
since 1977.
“Lynne Dodson has demonstrated a strong commitment to LGBT issues
throughout her career,” said Jeff Koertzen, SEAMEC Co-Chair. “From civil
rights to employment equity, Dodson has been a staunch advocate for our
community.”
Dodson has built a broad coalition, spanning all the communities of the 43rd
Legislative District. She is also the only candidate supported by the
Washington State Labor Council, American Federation of Teachers
Washington, and the King County Women’s Political Caucus.
Dodson was the President of the American Federation of Teachers Local
Union #1789, a teacher at Seattle Central Community College, a former Co-
Chair of Washington State Jobs With Justice and the mother of two young
adults.
State legislators Sherry Appleton, Steve Conway, Tami Green, Zack Hudgins,
Bob Hasegawa, Karen Keiser, Adam Kline, Mary Helen Roberts, Mike Sells
and Sharon Tomiko Santos have endorsed Dodson along with many other
