The Washington State Labor Council (WSLC) voted
overwhelmingly to solely endorse Lynne Dodson for the 43rd Legislative
District house seat.
“As a teacher and as president American Federation of Teachers Local Union
#1789, Lynne has been a champion for working families,” said Rick Bender,
President of the WSLC. “We’re confident she’ll continue that work as the next
State Representative in the 43rd District.”
Despite a crowded field, Dodson has continued to earn key endorsements
from local leaders including; State Representatives Sherry Appleton, Steve
Conway, Tami Green, Bob Hasegawa, Zack Hudgins, and Sharon Tomiko
Santos, State Senators Adam Kline and Karen Kaiser and numerous other
local leaders.
The endorsement of the WSLC is highly coveted by local Democratic
candidates for its grassroots strength. With nearly 300,000 union members
from over 500 locals across the state, the WSLC is the largest labor
organization in Washington State.
The 43rd Legislative district is located in Seattle and includes the Capitol Hill,
